Party goers arrested

Two young men are facing charges after a party at a home in central Caledon got out of hand March 15.
Caledon OPP reports they were called out shortly after midnight and, at the direction of the occupant of the home, were trying ot clear the place out. A 17-year-old male apparently assaulted one of the officers by grabbing his leg and leaning into him. During the scuffle, another officer was confronted and obstructed by an 18-year-old male.
The 17-year-old was charged with assaulting a police officer, obstructing or resisting a peace officer and failing to leave the premises when directed. As well, while in custody he reportedly spat on the cell floor and walls, resulting in his being charged with mischief under $5,000.
The 18-year-old was charged with obstructing or resisting a peace officer and failing to leave the premises when directed. Police added that while he was being searched, they found a knife on him, resulting in his being charged with possession of a weapon for dangerous purposes.
