There will be 1.4 million tickets becoming available through the TORONTO 2015 ticketing program for the biggest international multi-sport Games ever held in Canada.
They will become available Sept. 15, at 10 a.m.
The ticketing program gives fans early access to request the best tickets for the hottest events. Tickets will start at $20 and 75 per cent of tickets will go for $45 or less. The ticket request program will run for three weeks, ending Oct. 6 at 9 p.m.
People interested can request tickets online at TORONTO2015.org, or call 1-855-726-2015 toll-free from anywhere in Canada or the U.S.
Requested tickets will be placed in a lottery to ensure equal access to the most in-demand tickets. Note only oversubscribed events (more requests than tickets available) will go to lottery.
Customers who request tickets will receive an email before Dec. 1, prompting them to check their account to see whether their ticket requests were successful.
The remaining tickets will be available through general sale, where tickets will be sold on a first-come, first-serve basis, beginning in December.
