William Osler Health System (Osler) is among the best in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) when it comes to offering progressive and forward-thinking programs to help attract and retain top talent.
It was recently announced that Osler has been recognized with a GTA Top 100 Employers award; an honour it has now achieved for four consecutive years.
“This is an outstanding achievement for Osler and one that we must credit to the efforts of our staff, physicians and volunteers who are committed to going beyond to create an environment that inspires professional development, teamwork and respect,” said Osler’s Executive Vice-President of People, Service and Performance Lori Diduch. “We are honoured to be named one of the GTA’s top employers for four consecutive years, and proud of our ability to come together each and every day as a strong and cohesive team, providing quality care to patients and families.”
To be selected for the award, organizations are deemed successful in eight categories: physical workplace; work and social atmosphere; health, financial and family benefits; vacation and time-off; employee communications; performance management; training and skills development; and community involvement.
This award comes within a year of two other significant achievements for Osler. In February, Osler was recognized as one of Canada’s Best Diversity Employers and in the fall of 2012, Osler earned an Exemplary Accreditation designation – the highest honour from Accreditation Canada.
