A 59-year-old man from Bramalea is facing charges after Caledon OPP encountered a stopped vehicle on Boston Mills Road April 6.
Police were conducting traffic enforcement in the area of Torbram Road shortly after 4:20 p.m. when an officer spotted a blue GMC SUV stopped on the north side of the road. Checking to make sure everything was all right, the officer detected alcohol on the man’s breath. A search of the vehicle uncovered a partially consumed can of beer in the centre console.
The man was charged with driving with more than the legal limit of alcohol in his system and a liquor licence offence.
His licence was suspended for 90 days and his vehicle was impounded for seven days.
