The Ice Bucket Challenge has not yet run its course. The international fundraiser to fight Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, has spread to the local schools. Students at Macville Public School got the thrill last week of seeing ice-cold water dumped on some of their teachers, by other staff members. Catherine Horn, Leslie Chateanvert, Mary-Ann Dacres, Murray Heslop and Brandon Pachan got the honours of dumping water on Liz Gilchrist, Louise Milliken, Principal Kelly Kawabe, Karen Moberly and Jessie Donohue.
