Lots going on in Caledon for Family Day

March 1, 2018   ·   0 Comments

There was lots of fun stuff going on last Monday as people were out to take advantage of activities put on in Caledon in honour of Family Day. Spirit Tree Estate Cidery on Boston Mills Road was the location of the sixth annual Family Day Wassailing Festival. Emily Bowman of Kitchener watched as her son Theo, 4, worked on making a noise-maker for the festivities.

Colourful members of the Orange Peel Morris Dancers led the parade to the orchards to lead the calls for a healthy apple crop this year.

The weather may not have allowed for much fun outside, but organizers of the Family Day fun at Teen Ranch were able to go ahead with lots of skating, along with hot chocolate, provided by Sobeys. There was also face painting, as Helena Mazz was working on a creation for Abigail Hedges, 6, of Caledon East.

The Town of Caledon hosted events at various facilities. Jim Stoykoff of Bolton watched as his daughter Brooke, 3, had fun practising on the drums at Caledon Centre for Recreation and Wellness.

There were crafts to work on at CCRW. Cheri Joosten of Bolton watched as Lucas, 4, busily worked on his creation.

Walter Hawkins, 6, of Caledon was having fun climbing the wall at CCRW.
