Hit That Note Music Studio is offering child care services to local parents next week in an attempt to allow them to still attend work while knowing their child is still learning.
The studio is offering parents in the Peel Region to drop off their children at the Hit that Note Music Studio in Bolton instead of taking off work due to the teachers’ strikes.
This child care service will take place on Jan 31, Feb 4 and Feb 6 for $45 a day.
The studio has been providing music and dance programs for children, as well as activities for parents and other residents to enjoy for the past seven years.
“We basically teach every single instrument, we have about 21 staff members in total that are all qualified musicians and we have about 212 students in total to date,” said studio owner Ida Puzzo. “We do everything, we do birthday parties, musical theatre programs, we have yoga for the parents and boot camp for them to work out so this way while the kids are having their lessons they can do an hour of yoga or boot camp while their child is at the studio.”
She added, “We have a lot of parents and even members of the public who don’t even bring their kids.”
HOURGLASS & CO. which is an event company that organizes social events, parties, workshops and other services, and hosts their in-house parties as well as their own at the Hit That Note Music Studio.
“HOURGLASS & CO. hosts in-house birthday parties at Hit That Music Note Studio, they also do off-site locations as well! We have mascots, princesses, superheroes and a variety of themes to choose from for birthday parties to cater to all ages. We also host different paint nights, some in support of local initiatives. In addition, we will be holding some children and teen acting sessions, as well as motivational and empowering sessions for children, teen and women. We will have a list of new sessions and programs being released this spring,” said an HOURGLASS & CO. representative.
With the on-going Ontario-wide teachers’ strike, this child care service will allow parents to refrain from taking work off and having a place to allow their child to continue to learn while the strikes continue.
“I have such a huge space, and we do a lot of big programs and are always worked wonderful. We set up crafts for the kids, we bake in the back room it’s about 1000 square feet. We set up a lot of programs in the back, we’ll teach a musical theatre script and at the end of the day they can perform for their parents when they come pick them up. The parents can know that when they go to work, their kid is still learning from music and even though they don’t have a background, they have some good care,” said Puzzo.
