Jobs Caledon is going to feature presentation on apprenticeships

August 2, 2017   ·   0 Comments

Apprenticeship is a fabulous way to create a very profitable career, and not enough people know about it.
Jobs Caledon, part of Caledon Community Services (CCS), will be hosting a guest speaker presentation with Audley Stephenson from the Ministry of Advanced Education and Skills Development (MAESD).
It will be next Thursday (Aug. 10) from 1 to 3 p.m. at the CCS offices at 18 King St. East in the Royal Courtyards in Bolton.
“There are many misconceptions people have about the apprenticeship program,” Stephenson observed. “It’s important that they receive the right information in order to make informed choices.”
“There’s a difference between the role of the Ministry of Advanced Education and Skills Development versus the Ontario College of Trades that is helpful for people to know,” Stephenson added.
With almost 20 years in service between federal and provincial government roles, Stephenson will provide an overview of the program, the registration process, the trade requirements and address any inquiries participants have.
Seating is limited, so contact jobs@ccs4u.org or phone 905-584-2300, ext. 200 to register.
