Jobs Caledon (located at the Royal Courtyards in Bolton) hosts Fight Network’s On-Air Personality, John Ramdeen and Senior Editor, Derek Swanton, Friday, Aug. 23, from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.
John and Derek will discuss what it is like to work in front of the camera and behind the scenes at a television station, as well as the many opportunities that exist within the broadcasting field. In addition, they will also talk about the education and skills needed to succeed in this industry.
Fight Network is the only Canadian 24-hour combat sports station, hosting both local fight-related programs and other combat lifestyle programs from around the world.
John Ramdeen has been working in the media industry for over 10 years, in various production-related roles. John currently hosts Fight Network’s original program, 5 Rounds.
“I began as an unpaid intern and worked my way up the ladder over the years to eventually end up in the role of host/reporter,” Ramdeen said.
Swanton has been working at Fight Network for over three years as a senior editor, and more recently as a producer and camera operator. “If you love TV and would like to do more than watch, come and check out our presentation,” he said.
