A police investigation continues into a shooting in Bolton that left one man dead and another man injured on Monday afternoon.
The Caledon Detachment of the OPP are appealing for the public’s help for any and all information related to the January 18 incident, including security camera and dashcam footage, according to Constable Iryna Nebogatova.
Police were called to the area of Harvest Moon Drive at 12.26 p.m. Monday responding to a reported shooting.
“Upon arrival, officers located two male victims,” said the OPP on the day of the incident. “One has been pronounced deceased at the scene and the second victim was injured and transported to a hospital.”
At press time this week, the OPP told The Citizen they were not able to provide any further information on the condition of the second victim or on any potential suspects in the shooting.
The investigation is being carried out by the Caledon Detachment’s Major Crime Unit under the direction of the Criminal Investigations Branch.
“Anyone with additional information regarding this homicide is asked to contact the Caledon OPP at (905) 584-2241 or toll free at 1-888-310-1122,” said Police. “You can also provide information anonymously by contacting Peel Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or online at www.peelcrimestoppers.ca. When you contact Crime Stoppers, you stay anonymous, you never have to testify, and you could receive a cash reward of up to $2,000 upon an arrest.”
