Humber River Shakespeare — A Christmas Carol to be performed twice in Caledon

November 27, 2013   ·   0 Comments

Humber River Shakespeare Company (HRSC) will be touring the area with their annual offering of the Dickens classic A Christmas Carol.
The schedule includes a Dec. 6 performance at Melville White Church, 15962 Mississauga Rd. starting at 7 p.m. as well as one Dec. 15 at the Alton Mill Arts Centre, at 1402 Queen St. West, Alton, starting at 2 p.m.
Gather with friends and family as five actors bring the timeless tale of greed, ghosts, salvation and hope to life. With Victorian costumes designed by the award-winning Nina Okens, and an antique trunk of story-telling treasures, the actors take the audience from Scrooge’s cold bedroom to Fezziwig’s joyful party, the Cratchits’ meager table and to the brightness of a Christmas morning fresh with snow.
“Performing A Christmas Carol is our way of giving back and sharing a universal message of hope, charity and kindness,” HRSC Artistic Director Kevin Hammond commented. “It is a treat and an honour to perform the show each year and I am always amazed at how moved the audiences are.”
Seating is limited. Guaranteed tickets are available on line at www.humberrivershakespeare.ca (adults — $20, children — $10).
