Hugs and other stuff for Earth Day

Earth Day was Monday, and people from Palgrave United church were right in the spirit of the day. Some of them gathered at Garden Foods in Bolton in the morning, bestowing free hugs to all who wanted one. Caroline Plawiuk of Bolton was one of them, receiving her hug from Satya Robinson, while Jon Love and Lorraine Witty looked on. Garden Foods was also distributing free pansies. The evening saw a pot-luck dinner at the church, and there were lots of activities, like crafts, for young people to work on. Olivia Gregersen-Curtis, Yvonne Polinski and Tay McIntyre, all 7, were showing off some of their work.         Photos by Bill Rea
