Jan. 15 saw all three games in the Caledon Senior Hockey league settled by two-goals as Heart Lake Insurance jumped into second place in the standings.
They did it by besting Rutherford Global Logistics.
In other action at Don Sheardown Memorial Arena, the Jiffy Lube Oilers won the fight for fourth place with a 5-3 win over the Grit Bagmen. Yale Industrial Trucks held off Fines Ford Lincoln for a 6-4 win. The scores, standings and more can be found at the CSHL web site: caledonseniorhockey.ca
Heart Lake 4, Rutherford 2
Jamie Hardman put the bite into the Heart Lake attack with assists on all four goals.
The ageless John Castellucci scored twice and had one assist, as did team rep Ian Kerr. Steve Tarasco and Paul Agius had one helper each.
Bruno Fracassi and Rich Petrie scored for Rutherford. The assists went to team rep Nick Taccogna, Jim Rogers, Mark Perrin and Peter DeRooy.
Jiffy Lube 5, Grit 3
Grant Moffat scored twice for Jiffy Lube and Maurizo Giorgio had a goal and an assist to help Jiffy Lube hold on to fourth place.
Mike Lo Dico and Pete McNamara scored the other goals. Greg Frangakis had two assists with singles going to team sponsor Brian Fetterly, Rick Geiger, Dom Spignesi, Gary Hughes, team rep Peter Coghill and Clark Chung.
Tony Curcio had a goal and an assist to lead Grit. John Pitsadiotis and Jim Sabaziotis scored the other goals. Mike (Dr. Bend) Shore, John Crossley and Carlo Fantin all had one assist.
Yale 6, Fines Ford 4
Team rep James Heenan was flying for Yale, as he piled up two goals and three assists.
Bernie Tisdale scored once and added two assists. Tony Dinis, Romas Krilavicius and Brian (Crazy Legs) Samuel scored the other goals. Santo Gazzolla led the assists parade with two while Frank Cirone and Steve Smith had one each.
Mike Foley led the Fines attack with two goals and two assists with Bret Smith right behind him with two goals and one assist. Team rep Ted Callighen had a career night with three assists. Luch Pinarello and Dom D’Orazio had one helper each.
