Fun avec French encourages reading to build vocabulary

December 20, 2017   ·   0 Comments

Fun avec French has announced the launch of Winter French Book Express, an Ontario-wide contest that aims to encourage reading, an effective way to build vocabulary, by inviting Grade 1 to Grade 12 students to submit their favourite part of a French book.
Until Feb. 5, every time a student completes the reading of a French book, they can submit an entry form at funavecfrench.com/contest for a chance to win their selection of French books with approximate retail value of $45.
“The most effective way to build vocabulary in any language is to increase the amount of time spent reading,” Fun avec French owner Lisa Gallant said. “Therefore, by encouraging reading, Winter French Book Express will lead to vocabulary growth and ultimately improved French communication skills for Ontario students.”
Interested students, parents and teachers can visit funavecfrench.com/contest for entry form and contest rules.
Entrants need a parent or legal guardian’s permission in order to participate. See full terms and eligibility included in contest rules at funavecfrench.com/contest-rules
