Forsters collecing books for fundraiser

Forsters Book Garden is collecting books this week to raise funds to help a Bolton native teach children overseas, and are welcoming any contributions of teen and children’s books from the community.
Stacia Sahi of Bolton to study International Affairs at Carleton University, and since graduating in 2010 she has gone from there to an exiting and varied career. She first worked at an internship in New York, serving the United Nations HIV/AID program. After a stint working for the Canadian government she began teaching at an international school in Cambodia. Now Stacia needs help, the school has a lack of books in both English and the native Khmer language, and Forsters seeks to help fill the void.
On the Saturday, Sept. 28 Forsters will be holding a book sale and raffle, selling any ten and kids’ books donated to the store by costumers and publishers. At the end, donated English books will be sent to Stacia to build her students’ library and the proceeds of the sale will go towards the purchase of books in Khmer.
Any residents wanting to help out Stacia Sahi are free to donate their books to the Forsters Book Garden on 55 Healey Road. There will also be a raffle at the time of the sale.
