Congratulations to Nicholas Brooksbank of Caledon East, the Early Bird winner of the Wheels for Meals Lottery. He takes home $1000. The July 1 draw took place at the Albion Hills Conservation Area as part of the Canada Day festivities. Councillor Jennifer Innis drew the lucky ticket. Meals on Wheels Executive Director Christine Sevigny made the call shortly after the draw to advise Brooksbank of his winnings. “It’s always an honour to support Meals on Wheels and their fundraising efforts and it’s especially nice to be the winner of the early bird draw on Canada Day,” he said. He is seen here with Val Watson and Sevigny. The grand prize of a 2017 Ford F150, camping equipment and two bicycles is set for Aug. 31. Tickets can be purchased by calling the Caledon Meals on Wheels office at 905-582-2992 or attending many of the local community events.
