Drug charges after warrant executed in Mono

The Caledon OPP Street Crime Unit joined forces Aug. 8 with several other units in executing a search warrant in the Town of Mono.
The local police were involved with members from the Community Drug Action Team and the Drug Enforcement Unit under the direction of the Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau Drug Enforcement Unit along with members of K-9 and Central Region Emergency Response Team in executing the Controlled Drug and Substances Act search warrant at a Blind Line residence.
As a result of the search, officers located a large amount of a green leafy substance, believed to be marijuana, marijuana plants, a large quantity of hashish, seven weapons and money. The total value of seized drugs, cash and paraphernalia exceeds $180,000.
In conclusion, a 29-year-old man from Mono was arrested and charged with production and possession for the purpose of trafficking.
