CVC hosts two workshops

September 11, 2013   ·   0 Comments

Credit Valley Conservation (CVC) invites rural landowners to two countryside stewardship workshops — Environmental Planning for Farm Landlords and Tree Identification Walk and Talk.
Both workshops will take place at Terra Cotta Conservation Area, at 14452 Winston Churchill Blvd.
Landowners who rent or are interested in renting their agricultural land to local farmers can attend the information session on sustainable agricultural practices next Thursday (Sept. 19) from 7 to 9 p.m. Participants will learn about best management practices and funding available for projects that protect water, air and soil quality.
CVC invites rural landowners to walk the trails of Terra Cotta Conservation Area Sept. 28, from 10:30 a.m until noon. Learn basic tree identification skills and receive pointers on how to maintain and manage tree and forest health at home.
Admission to both workshops is free. The workshops are for landowners living within the Credit River watershed; however landowners from outside the watershed are welcome, space permitting.
