Collision results in charges

A 41-year-old woman from Brampton was charged April 22 after a Caledon OPP investigation into a traffic collision on Airport Road, in the area of Coolihans Sideroad.
Police report they were called to the scene shortly after midnight. They foud a black Chrysler NLX in the west ditch. a woman who identified herself as the driver told officers she had consumed alcohol.
Officers demanded a breath sample from the woman, but she was not able to provide a suitable one. She was arrested on that charge, and a subsequent search of the vehicle uncovered a quantity of alcohol, as well as drugs believed to be marijuana.
In addition to failing to provide a breath sample, the woman was charged with possession of a schedule II substance and driving with alcohol readily available.
Her licence was suspended on the spot, and her vehicle was impounded for seven days.
