There was lots of great food, and probably a certain amount of indigestion Saturday as the Cheltenham Fire Hall was the scene of the sixth annual Chili Show Down in support of the Heart and Stroke Foundation. A number of families and community groups were offering their own particular recipes and mixtures in support of the cause. It was a family affair at this table as Sydney Lynch, 9, served up Syd’s Chili Tacos, while her father Captain James Lynch offered seafood chili, which ended up taking top prize.
Matt Bayes and Bailey Brock of Inglewood had people sampling their Hill Billy Deer Chili.

Mono Mills Firefighter Mike Melnyk said his chili was “not for the faint of gullet.”
Lindsay Bebbington was representing her family as she served Coca-Cola Chili. She said it contained two cans of Coke.
Snelgrove Firefighter Huw Jones had some tear-jerker chili that he made.
