Celebration in Caledon was a big success

December 16, 2013   ·   0 Comments

I want to personally thank all the volunteers who graciously gave their time to make this year’s Santa Claus Parade and tree lighting in Caledon village one of the best ever.
Thank-you to the Town of Caledon, Mayor Morrison and Councillors Beffort and Paterak, as well as MPP Sylvia Jones for all their support. A special thank-you to Dr. Hickman for sponsoring our outdoor performer Andie Trepanier, and to James Dick for sponsoring Hala the Elf. Thank-you to the Caledon Agricultural Society for working with the Scientologists to find us a throne and beautiful red sleigh for the parkette.
Thank you to our local businesses for their contributions to our raffle and silent auction. We raised enough money to purchase a couple more snowflakes and ensure the continued beautification of Caledon village.
I want to thank the Orangeville Chorus for their outstanding performance and Knox Church for allowing us to use their church to host the event. A big thank-you to the Optimists, who supplied the food, and the Lions Club for the sound system, as well as helping us to plan a successful event. A parade wouldn’t be a parade without volunteers dedicating their time to decorate a float. Thank you to everyone who decorated a float for the parade.
To all the Caledon Village Association executive, you did a great job. Thank-you for all your help.
I wish you all good health and happiness for the holiday season and throughout the coming year.
Heather Wilkinson,
Co-Chair,
Caledon Village Association
