The Orange Peel Carollers and Village Band created CrossCurrents’ most successful show yet Friday night. With about 80 people in the audience, they performed ancient, non-traditional carols. Accompanied by three small accordions, flutes and drums, they also did traditional English dances, in costume. The performers created the original spirit of Christmas typically lost in the canned music of shopping malls. As well, $420 was raised for the needy and provided to Caledon Community Services. Performances are once or twice monthly at Bolton United Church, 8 Nancy St. Donations are welcome.
