Caledon Area Families For Inclusion (CAFFI) is a local group (not yet incorporated) of parents with children who have developmental disabilities.
It has evolved out of a need to find services and housing for their developmentally disabled children as they grow up and are no longer in school.
The group will be meeting Sept. 27 from 9 a.m. to noon at Christ Church in Bolton. Dufferin-Caledon MPP Sylvia Jones will be on hand to explain some of the findings of the provincial select committee on the developmentally disabled and the changes that may soon be coming. The committee has raised interest and hope that things may improve.
Members of families with developmentally disabled children are invited to attend, as are others who may be interested in understanding how the new plan may help.
