A 63-year-old man from Brampton is facing charges after he was stopped at a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) spot check Friday.
Caledon OPP reports the check was on King Street at Mississauga Road. Officers stopped a black Hyundai Elantra, and immediately detected the strong smell of alcohol on the driver’s breath. The driver was order to provide a breath sample, and he was arrested when he failed.
The man was charged with driving with more than the legal limit of alcohol in his system. His licence was suspended for 90 days and the car was impounded for seven days.
