Brampton Civic Hospital’s paediatric program benefits from recent McHappy Day

June 19, 2013   ·   0 Comments

Building on many years of loyal and invaluable support of Brampton Civic Hospital, more than 14 McDonald’s restaurants across Brampton raised funds for the hospital’s paediatric program recently as part of McHappy Day.
The funds raised will be directed toward paediatric equipment at the hospital, including the AccuVein Illuminating Device, which is a state-of-the-art tool that illuminates a baby’s veins when the newborn needs extra care through intravenous. Routine blood work is also made easier with the AccuVein, reducing discomfort for the hospital’s littlest patients.
“We are proud to be the recipients of McHappy Day funds,” said William Osler Health System Foundation President and CEO Ken Mayhew. “This event taps into a deep well of support within the community for Osler’s hospitals, making a significant investment in the paediatric program and helping to provide the best possible start to life for the more than 5,000 babies born at Brampton Civic Hospital each year.”
