Mayfield Secondary School
Brianna Gilfoy
This Grade 11 student contributed her skills as a forward on the varsity field hockey team at school. She’s also planning to play ice hockey as well as lacrosse in the spring. In the community, she plays midget A hockey in the Orangeville Tigers’ organization. The 16-year-old lives in Alton. Her parents are Kurt and Maureen Gilfoy.
Robert F. Hall Catholic Secondary School
Cameron Gardilcic
This 16-year-old was a defensive end and offensive guard for the championship football team this year, collecting a couple of sacks in the title match. Away from school, he plays football in the Orangeville Outlaws organization and used to play hockey for the Caledon Hawks. The Grade 12 students lives in the Caledon East area. His parents are Dave and Mattie Gardilcic.
St. Michael Catholic Secondary School
Samantha Korkis
This Grade 9 student has been playing power for the junior girls’ volley ball team, which has just started practising for the coming season. She also plays intermural soccer at school. Away from school, she played left striker for the Bolton Wanderers U-14 squad. The 14-year-old lives in Bolton. Her parents are Sandra and George Korkis.
Humberview Secondary School
Alicia Matis
This 17-year-old has been busy with senior girls’ basketball and varsity soccer. In the community, she plays rep basketball with the Orangeville Hawks and rep soccer with the Caledon Soccer Club. The Grade 12 student lives in Caledon East. Her parents are Marilyn and Herb Matis.
