Mayfield Secondary School
Garnett Dreger
This Grade 10 student is showing his prowess as a prop flanker and hooker on the junior rugby team. “We’re looking pretty good so far,” he said. He also played outside linebacker on the school’s junior football team. Outside of school, he plays house league hockey and baseball in Brampton. The 15-year-old lives in SouthFields Village with his mother Natalie Dreger.
Robert F. Hall Catholic Secondary School
Jake Rosati
This 16-year-old pitched in on the defence for the senior hockey team that won ROPSSAA and lost in the quarter-finals at OFSAA. Away from school, he takes part in the Orangeville Soccer Club and plays hockey in the Orangeville Flyers’ organization. The Grade 11 student lives in Orangeville. His parents are Tony and Brenda Rosati.
St. Michael Catholic Secondary School
Anthony Marino
This Grade 10 student is playing centre-mid for the junior soccer team. They have taken part in two tournaments, getting to the semifinals in one, with the regular season due to start soon. He also played point guard for the junior basketball team. Away from school, he plays soccer in the Woodbridge Strikers’ organization. The 15-year-old lives in Bolton with his parents Joey and Linda Marino.
Humberview Secondary School
Alex Farkas
This 14-year-old is a soccer player, manning the centre back position on the junior boys’ team. He also plays for ANB Academy in King City. The Grade 9 student lives in the Caledon East area. His parents at Pat and Les Farkus.
