The 88th Annual Plowing Match of the Peel-Dufferin Plowmen’s Association is being held Aug. 29.
It will be hosted by the Downey Family, at 15351 Mount Hope Rd. in Caledon.
The plowing competition begins around 10 a.m., with the Mayor’s Challenge also running during that time. A barbecued pork chop lunch is available at noon for $10. The Queen of the Furrow competition begins in the morning, with speeches to take place just before lunch.
Stewart’s Equipment of Erin will be bringing some of their tractors and equipment. Antique tractors will be displayed and some local businesses will be on hand.
