Yale takes the lead in senior hockey standings

Yale Industrial Trucks players are rolling over their opposition in the early going of the Caledon Senior Hockey League.
Fines Ford Lincoln was the latest victim, falling 7-1 to Yale Monday night at Don Sheardown Memorial Arena. In the other CSHL games, the Grit Bagmen downed Jiffy Lube Oilers 6-4 and Rutherford Global Logistics won their second game in a row with a 5-3 decision over Heart Lake Insurance.
Yale 7, Fines Ford 1
Steve Smith and Grant Moffatt were the high point-men for Yale as Smith scored twice and had one assist while Moffatt was the set-up man on three goals.
Team rep James Heenan scored two goals with Bill Davis and Greg Twinney each getting a goal and an assist. Bernie Tisdale had the other goal. Robert Masutti had two assists while Romas Krilivicius had one.
Stefan Pacula scored for Fines with help from Bill Moyer.
Grit 6, Jiffy Lube 4
Randy Freitag was the big shooter for Grit with two goals, while Tony Curcio led the points parade with three assists.
Mike Shore and Robert Ianno had one goal and one assist each. John Pitsadiotis and Kyle Smith scored the other goals. Single assists went to David Shoalts, Jim Sabaziotis and Mike Gasparini.
Greg Frangakis led the way for Jiffy Lube with three goals. Marty Madensky had a goal and an assist and Rick Geiger had two helpers. George Armstrong and Mike Lo Dico both had one assist.
Rutherford 5, Heart Lake 3
Team rep Nick Taccogna bagged a hat trick for Rutherford.
Jim Dunbar and Jim Rogers scored the other goals. Bruno Fracassi, Rich Petrie, Nick Pistilli and Tony Calabro each had one assist.
Jamie McDonald was the top scorer for the Insurance boys with two goals. Team sponsor Chris Spilar scored the other goal. Team rep Ian Kerr and Frank McKay had two assists each. Howard Wight had one helper.
