Woman shares story of assault at Lifetree Café

April 17, 2014   ·   0 Comments

How to pick up the pieces and go on with life after a crisis will be explored at the next session of Lifetree Café this coming Wednesday (April 23).
The program, entitled After the Attack: Picking Up the Pieces and Moving On, will feature the filmed story of a woman who was assaulted in her home — and the man who attacked her.
“I’d thought about her for days,” said the attacker, who was sentenced to six years for the crime. “I had that drive — and a knife.”
Participants in the program will discover how both the victim and attacker were able to move on with their lives and eventually reconcile.
The program will run from 7 to 8 p.m., and admission will be free. Snacks and beverages will be available.
It will be at St. James’ Anglican Church, 6025 Old Church Rd., in Caledon East.
Lifetree Café is a place where people gather for conversation about life and faith in a casual coffeehouse-type setting. Questions about Lifetree may be directed to Mark Tiller at 905-584-8506 or mark.lifetree@gmail.com
