Waste collection labour dispute in Peel Region

Some residents in Peel Region are advised that they will likely experience waste collection delays as a result of the labour dispute involving one of Peel’s waste collection contractors.
Residents are asked to continue following their regular collection schedule; leave any missed collection material at the curb; or bring their waste to a Community Recycling Centre where they can drop off garbage, recycling, yard waste. and organics for free. Hours of operation will be extended.
Residents are reminded that bylaws against illegal dumping will continue to be enforced.
The Region asks residents for their patience as all efforts will be made to pick up waste in a timely manner.
