United Way welcomes new fundraising chief

United Way of Peel Region President and CEO Shelley White has announced the appointment of Ania Kordiuk as Chief Development Officer.
In her role, Kordiuk will assume responsibility for the strategic vision and leadership of all fundraising functions, including the annual campaign, major individual giving, planned giving and special gift initiatives. She will also provide leadership to the resource development staff and volunteers.
Kordiuk is a veteran of Toronto’s non-profit and cultural community since 1987, continuously leading fundraising, marketing communications and service teams to success. She comes to United Way from the Royal Ontario Museum, where she held a variety of senior roles for 18 years, including Director of Annual Giving and Vice-President, Marketing and Commercial Development. Most recently, Kordiuk held the position of Vice-President of Visitor Relations and Commercial Services, overseeing the public operations at the museum. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Toronto.
