Town seeking public input with regard to intensification strategy

February 13, 2014   ·   0 Comments

The Town has started a study to determine how intensification will be incorporated throughout Caledon.
Public opinion is an important part of the process, and the Town will be hosting three meetings this coming Tuesday (Feb. 18). They will be from 9:30 a.m. to noon at Caledon Village Place, 18313 Hurontario St., 1 to 3:30 p.m. at Inglewood Community Centre, 15825 McLaughlin Rd, and 7 to 9 p.m. at Albion-Bolton Community Centre.
Intensification is an increase in density caused by growth, and can be achieved in several ways, from new development of vacant land within built-up areas as well as the redevelopment of under-used lands. Intensification, in the right built form, can help strengthen neighbourhoods by improving and utilizing existing community services, roads and infrastructure.
