An officer from Caledon OPP was called to investigate a single vehicle in the ditch on Healey Road, west of Humber Station Road Feb. 10.
The officer arrived at the scene and found a red Toyota Corolla in the ditch.
Upon speaking to the male driver, the officer immediately detected a strong odour of alcohol on his breath. A demand was made for the driver to provide a sample of his breath into a roadside screening device, and after failing the test, he was arrested and transported to the Caledon Detachment for further breath testing.
As a result, a 33-year-old man from Brampton was charged with driving with more than the legal limit of alcohol in his system.
His licence was suspended for 90 days on the spot, and the car was impounded for seven days.
