Dufferin-Caledon MP David Tilson has announced $30,700 in federal funding to support the 12th edition of the Orangeville Blues and Jazz Festival.
“By investing in the Orangeville Blues and Jazz Festival, the government of Canada is showing its support for an event that draws thousands to Orangeville, boosting the local economy while giving spectators a unique cultural experience,” he said.
This year, the festival expects 33,000 visitors to experience a broad and eclectic range of blues and jazz music in Orangeville’s historic downtown core from June 5 to 8.
“The Festival is pleased to receive significant support from the government of Canada,” said Festival founder and artistic director Larry Kurtz. “With this support the Festival is able to offer increased local talent, a key element of our success.”
