A Brampton man and two youths are facing charges after Caledon OPP received a report Feb. 10 of a 2003 Freightliner commercial motor vehicle (CMV) that had been broken into sometime overnight.
Police report there were multiple items stolen from inside.
The Street Crime Unit (SCU) linked evidence from a separate police investigation to this incident. As a result, the SCU successfully executed a search warrant at two different premises in Brampton. Upon conducting the searches, the SCU recovered approximately $20,000 worth of assets owned by the company that owns the CMV.
A 19-year-old Brampton man was charged with unauthorized possession of a weapon, mischief, theft over $5,000 from a motor vehicle and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.
Further, two youths, aged 15 and 17, have also been charged with mischief, theft over $5,000 from a motor vehicle, and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.
