There’s agreement that Caledon got off easy in the face of Monday’s heavy rains, but Councillor Allan Thompson doesn’t want to take chances.
He raised the issue at Tuesday’s council meeting, suggesting that when culvert work is being done, Town staff should look into the possibility of making them bigger and the ditches deeper.
Ian Neville, director of engineering, public works and enforcement for the Town, said staff would look into it.
“Better to have them oversized than undersized,” he said.
