Mayor Marolyn Morrison — Support the Credit Valley Conservation Foundation Gala, coming May 15

April 3, 2013   ·   0 Comments

The Credit Valley Conservation Foundation raises funds and awareness in support of conservation projects carried out by Credit Valley Conservation Authority.
These projects protect the health and well-being of the Credit River Valley flora and fauna, the watershed and its inhabitants for today and tomorrow.
In the past five years, the Foundation has raised more than $2 million dollars for the valuable environmental projects of Credit Valley Conservation Authority; the Foundation aims to make a minimum annual contribution of $1 million dollars to Credit Valley Conservation in support of its varied conservation projects.
The Credit Valley Conservation Foundation is hosting its eighth Annual Conservation Gala May 15 at Rattlesnake Point Golf and Country Club in Milton, a primary fundraising event hosted by the Foundation.
This event brings together hundreds of residents, supporters, interest group members and advocates of the Credit Valley watershed community. In just seven short years, the Conservation Gala alone has raised more than $700,000 to protect and enhance our local natural environment for present and future generations.
The success of the Credit Valley Conservation Foundation Gala is dependent on the generosity of community-minded companies, groups and individuals; many in the Town of Caledon have been strong supporters of the Foundation and its goals. To help the Foundation achieve its fundraising goals, there are four ways in which you can support their Gala: (i) attend the event, (ii) become an event sponsor, (iii) donate an item to their silent or live auction or (iv) make a cash donation to help them purchase auction items.
Gala donors and sponsors will be recognized in the printed Gala program, on the Conservation Gala website and in social media feeds. Where eligible, a charitable tax receipt will be issued for the fair market value of your donation or for a portion of your event ticket.
With your help, the Credit Valley Conservation Foundation’s efforts to protect and enhance the environment in the watershed will continue to be successful.
