Subway Athletes of the Week — February 27, 2014

Sam Lewis This 17-year-old had a good showing recently at ROPSSAA for the school’s swim team, placing third in the 50-metre freestyle and qualifying for OFSSAA. She was also third in the medley relay and first in the freestyle relay. She also rows at school and is a cross-country runner. The Grade 12 student lives in Inglewood with her parents Robert Lewis and Carolyn Walsh.

St. Michael Catholic Secondary School  Jessica D’Ettore This 17-year-old played setter in a successful season for the senior girls’ volley ball team. She also plays soccer at school, as well as taking part the Dance Arts Advantage Program. Away from school, she used to play soccer in the Bolton Wanderers’ organization. The Grade 12 student lives in Bolton with her parents Frank and Rose D’Ettore.

This 17-year-old played setter in a successful season for the senior girls’ volley ball team. She also plays soccer at school, as well as taking part the Dance Arts Advantage Program. Away from school, she used to play soccer in the Bolton Wanderers’ organization. The Grade 12 student lives in Bolton with her parents Frank and Rose D’Ettore.

Humberview Secondary School Rachel Coreau This Grade 9 student was part of the school’s ping pong team, which was victorious at ROPSSAA. She was also active in flag football in the fall and plans to play soccer at school in the spring. Away from school, she’s a rep player with ACES Soccer Academy in Brampton, playing outside midfield. The 14-year-old lives in Bolton with her parents Jason and Diana Coreau.

Robert F. Hall Catholic Secondary School Kennedy Lisso  This Grade 9 student has been playing right wing for the girls’ hockey team, which has had only one loss so far in the season. She also played tight end for the school’s flag football team in the fall. In the community, she plays hockey in the Brampton Canadettes organization. The 15-year-old lives in Caledon East with her parents Todd and Adair Lisso.
