Subway Athletes of the Week — April 10, 2014

Mayfield Secondary School Ayden Langille This 15-year-old plays fly half for the junior boys’ rugby team, that recently completed a tour of Scotland. He was also a defensive tackle on the junior football team in the fall. He’s a busy athlete away from school, as a rep player in the Erin-Hillsburgh Minor Hockey Association. He also plays in the Erin-Hillsburgh Soccer Club and the North Halton Highlanders Rugby Club. The Grade 10 student lives in Alton with his parents Todd and Joanne Langille.

Robert F. Hall Catholic Secondary School Samantha Sterritt This Grade 10 student played defence for the varsity girls’ hockey team, which made it to the quarter-final consolations at OFSSAA. She’s hoping to play flag football for the school next year. In the community, she plays hockey with the Brampton Canadettes. The 15-year-old lives in Caledon East with her parents Lorie and Robert Sterritt.

St. Michael Catholic Secondary School Sebastian DiIulio This 15-year-old is a centre-back for the junior boys’ soccer team, and they recently won their first tournament at the Hershey Centre in Mississauga. Away from school, he plays for the Ontario Provincial under-15 soccer team, as well as in the Mississauga Falcons’ organization. The Grade 9 student lives in Bolton with his parents Felicia and Pal DiIulio.

Humberview Secondary School Holly Miller This Grade 12 student is a prop for the senior girls’ rugby squad, which won its first game and is optimistic for the coming season. Away from school, she used to play baseball and be involved in competitive dancing. The 17-year-old lives in Bolton with her parents Lara and Ron Miller.
