Spot check leads to arrest

A 28-year-old woman from Binbrook (south of Hamilton) was charged after being stopped at Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) spot check early in the morning of June 19.
Caledon OPP reports officers noticed the validation sticker on the blue Toyota Corolla had expired at the stop on Highway 10 shortly after 1:20 a.m. When they spoke to the driver, they noticed the smell of alcohol on her breath.
She was charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and driving with more then the legal limit of alcohol in her system. Her licence was suspended for 90 days and her car was impounded for seven.
