Mayfield Secondary School
Ross Vrano-Godwin
This 17-year-old has been playing centre for the varsity boys’ basketball team at school. In the community, the six foot eight inch player contributes his basketball skills to the Mississauga Monarchs. He also likes to spend time skiing and swimming. The Grade 12 student lives in the Caledon village area with his parents Anna Vrano and Ian Godwin.
Robert. F. Hall Catholic Secondary School
Gurkirat Dulay
This Grade 10 student has been showing his stuff as a power forward on the junior boys’ basketball team. He used to play rep basketball in the Brampton Warriors organization and plays pick-up football when not in school. The 15-year-old lives in Caledon East with his parents Ranjit and Gurminder Dulay.
St. Michael Catholic Secondary School
Daniel Berno
This 14-year-old has been making his contribution as a left winger on the junior boys’ hockey team, contributing lots of goals and assists to the cause. Outside of school, he plays hockey for the Toronto Titans out of Buckingham Arena in Downsview. He’s also on the Team Ontario Inline Skating squad. The Grade 9 student lives in Bolton with his parents Sonia and Eddy Berno
Humberview Secondary School
Emma Brown
This Grade 10 student has been helping the girls’ varsity hockey team from the left wing. The team won two of their first three matches, and she contributed a pair of assists in the third outing. Last year, she played third base on the school’s softball team. Away from school, she plays house league hockey, as well as in the Bolton Braves’ organization. The 16-year-old lives in Bolton with her parents Lori and Murray Brown.
