Mayfield Secondary School
Nicholas Stallone
This Grade 11 student is looking forward to contributing his prowess as a prop (forward) for the senior boys’ rugby team, which is still in tryouts. He played for the junior squad last year. He also played offensive guard for the senior boys’ football team this year. Away from school, he is a house league defenceman in Caledon Minor Hockey. The 16-year-old lives in Strawberry Fields with his parents Mario and Diana Stallone.
Robert F. Hall Catholic Secondary School
Brittney Gout
This 14-year-old held down one of the centre positions on the varsity girls’ hockey team, contributing five goals to the recent OFSSAA effort in Sudbury. She also played flag football for the school in the fall. In the community, she plays lacrosse in the Guelph Regals’ organization and hockey for Brampton Canadettes. The Grade 9 student lives in the Campbell’s Cross area with her parents Peter and Tammy Gout.
St. Michael Catholic Secondary School
David Mastropaolo
This Grade 9 student was a defenseman for the school’s junior hockey team, which was victorious at ROPSSAA. Away from school, he plays AAA hockey in the Vaughan Kings’ organization, and in the summer, he’s a house league soccer player for the Bolton Wanderers. The 14-year-old lives in Bolton with his parents Rosanna and Sergio Mastropaolo.
Humberview Secondary School
Mickayla Robinson
This 15-year-old is playing in the eight position on the junior girls’ rugby team. It’s still early days in the season, but they won two games at a recent tournament, with her contribution of two tries. She also played flag football in the fall. The Grade 10 student live in Brampton with her parents Gloria Miller and Patrick Robinson.
