Several close games marked last week’s Inglewood ball hockey action

The Inglewood Ball Hockey League (IBHL) saw two evenings of action last week, but little changed in the standings.
Last Thursday saw three ties in four matches. George’s Arena Sports was the only team that was able to make any headway, winning two for the week.
June 18

Mr. Handyman 3
George’s netted one late in the third to get the win over Mr. Handyman.
Sean Elliott bagged the winner with Mike Garvie adding a brace and Tony Sousa get the other marker. Assists were from the sticks of Mitch Nail, Matt Cordina, Kelvin Young, Tommy Ursa and Michael Brilantes. Handyman hammers were dropped by Nick Stabile, Mike Volpe and Alex Della Mora with help from Anthony Villari, Volpe, Dan Szustak and Justin Fiorino.

Caledon Hills Cycling 1
Harry Gaebler netted a pair with Colin Bromley adding a single to earn the victory for ZeeClean.
Assists went to Evan Emanoilidis, Chris Gikov, Cameron Batten and Adam Moszynski. Caledon Hills’ pedal pumper was Travis Cassar from Brandon Sinclair and Peter Christie.
AMD & Son Electric 2
Elite Building Group 1
In a game that saw all scoring occur in the middle frame, AMD were able to hold off defending champions, Elite, and get the win.
Dan Wood was the hero for AMD with both counters while Joey and Jesse Lemos and Jake Lake got helpers. Elite’s elite was Thomas McAusland from Ken Laramy and Lino Zanardo.
We Are Creative 6
Carney Plumbing 2
We Are got their Creative hats on in the second and took charge of the game after falling behind 2-0 and went on a spree.
Michael Spagnuolo, Rob Silvestri, Cody Doiron, Anthony Fera (with two) and Alex Schittenhelm bulged the bin with Silvestri, Doiron, Mike Tarasco and Schittenhelm getting the aides. Jody Spagnol from Shawn Lane, and Brad McGitchie from Spagnol and Pete Davis had Carney on the board.

AMD & Son Electric 2
Carney showed that they can still keep up with the younger members of the league, pulling out a tie with the first-place AMD.
Carney lamp lighters were Elliott Draga from Brad McGitchie & Derek Carroll, and Lane from McGitchie. AMD shockers were Lake from Travis Watts and Paul Skates, and Wood from Jason Duncan.

We Are Creative 2
Continuing with the low-score tie games, neither team here could decide a winner.
Elite snipers were Laramy and Tyler O’Conner with help from Kyle Young, O’Conner, Zanardo and Aaron Campbell. We Are got on the board with Doiron netting both aided by Silvestri and Dom Klosowski.
Mr. Handyman 3
Caledon Hills Cycling 3
In the third tie of the night, Caledon Hills (with a little help from three members of AMD, to get enough players to play) got to tie Mr. Handyman in a great game.
Handyman point getters were Luigi D’Agostino, Volpe, Della Mora, Val Melo and Villari. Caledon Hills Cycling crashers were imports Dan Wood, Andy Sant and Evan Sant with help from Kurt Snell, Wood and Kyle Dalcin.
George’s Arena Sports 4
ZeeClean 0
George’s keeper Anthony Armata stood tall to help his short-bench get the win, turning away all comers. Go to guys for George’s were Elliott from Sousa and Ryan Duval, Nail from Sousa and Corey Schittenhelm, Schittenhelm from Elliott and Sousa, and Schittenhelm from Sousa and Elliott.
