Santa coming to Caledon village

November 27, 2014   ·   0 Comments

The Caledon Village Association has been very busy again this year preparing for Santa’s arrival next Saturday (Dec. 6).
Santa Claus will be in the parade of floats commencing at Caledon Central School at 6 p.m. The parade route goes along McCort Drive to Autumn Drive where it will cross Charleston Sideroad, travel west along Hawthorne Avenue and north on Sumach Road to Chester. Then west along Chester Drive and ending on Maple Grove Road and Charleston Sideroad.
Everyone is invited to gather in Raeburn’s Corner parkette, beside Knox United Church. When Santa reaches the church, there will be an opportunity for a photo with Santa on his throne. Be sure to bring your letters for Santa’s special mailbox. The Town Crier will be on hand as well as local dignitaries as the children count down to light up the beautiful tree covered in lights and decorations. Hot dogs, hot chocolate, coffee, cider, soup and treats will be served.
New this year, the Caledon Firefighters are accepting cash donations to be distributed to the less fortunate children. Participate in the raffle to win some wonderful items and there will be a special children’s table plus fabulous silent auction items that will make great Christmas gifts. The Caledon Optimists will also have a special cash draw just for children. Entertainment and festive music will follow.
