Salamander Festival Sept. 26

The 19th Belfountain Salamader Festival is set for Sept. 26.
Hosted by the Belfountain Community Organization and Credit Valley Conservation, it will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
This is an annual event that brings awareness to the endangered Jefferson Salamander. Residents and visitors will be entertained by Jerry Livingstone’s Kewl Fusion band with many artists, a Zumba session with Ivonne Ibarra, and a special presentation from the choir from Belfountain Public School, who performed for the Pan American Torch Relay in June.
There will also be food, vendors’ booths anda silent auction items.
It will be at the Belfountain Village Church grounds and Belfountain Conservation Area, where people can see, touch and discover a variety of mammals, reptiles and birds of prey in an interactive display.
