Remembering Wes Keller

I want to express to your readers, the Caledon Citizen, Orangeville Citizen and Shelburne Free Press my deepest sympathy on the passing of Wes Keller.
As a politician with the old Dufferin County School Board, the council of the Town of Orangeville, Member of Provincial Parliament and now Member of Parliament in Ottawa, I have met many colourful characters. Wes was one of those characters. He was also a friend.
Wes would call me and speak to me thousands of times over those years to help him in the research of some hot topic. He was an honest and respected journalist. In the early years of the Orangeville Citizen, he would write most of the articles, take most of the pictures and single-handedly publish the paper.
Wes was a great supporter of anyone in the Royal Canadian Legion or indeed anyone who is or was in the Armed Forces.
He will be missed.
