There were a lot of tired students and Staff at Robert F. Hall Catholic Secondary School after their recent Relay for Life in support of the Canadian Cancer Society. There were about 226 people taking part in the event, which saw participants walking continuous laps around the sports field behind the school from 7 p.m. last Friday until 7 a.m the following morning. The field was ringed with candles. “As we continue our journey, the candles will continue to burn brightly,” remarked Samantha Steeves, one of the organizers. The effort raised $24,142.25. The activities over the night included launching these got-air illuminaries, and Amber Hann joined Steeves in launching this one.
If these folks look tired, it’s because they were working on their last lap early last Saturday morning.
