Most people want a beautiful and low-maintenance garden, but they don’t know where to start.
To that end, Peel Region will be holding free fusion garden workshops this Saturday (June 8). The Caledon one will be at Southfields Community Park, at the corner of Learmont Avenue and Losino Street in Southfields Village. It will run from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Registration is required by calling 905-791-7800, ext. 4409.
This workshop will be a hands-on experience, where participants and the Region’s landscape design team will build a garden together. The workshop will teach the steps to build a garden, including how to define the garden area; prepare the garden bed for planting; plan the garden layout; place and plant flowers, shrubs and trees; finish the garden with mulch; and apply proper watering techniques.
