Region will be observing holiday hours

Peel Region offices and non-emergency services will be closed for the holidays from Dec. 25 to Jan. 1.
Residents in Caledon are advised that waste will be collected one day later than their regular collection day. All Community Recycling Centres (CRCs) will be closed Dec. 25, Dec. 26 and Jan. 1.
Region of Peel Services and Access Peel will reopen Jan. 4.
Breastfeeding Clinics in Brampton will be closed Dec. 24 to 28, and from Dec. 31 to Jan. 1, reopening Jan. 4
As well as Children’s Services Operations, dental services at Peel Public Health Clinics, Employment Resource Centres, Healthy Sexuality Clinics, Peel Living and Public Works reception.
For emergencies related to food, shelter, medication and personal supports, call the Ontario Works after-hours line at 905-793-9200 or the Region’s main line at 905-791-7800.
Peel Public Health will not be accepting water samples from Dec. 23 to Jan. 4. Regular collection service will resume Jan. 5. Residents can drop off samples directly to Public Health Ontario at 81 Resources Rd., Etobicoke. Call 416-235-6556 or 1-877-604-4567 for hours.
The Needle Exchange Program mobile van services regular hours of operation are 2 to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday. During the holiday season the following hours will apply: Dec. 24 — 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; Dec. 25 to 28 — closed; Dec. 31 — 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; and Jan. 1 — closed. Regular hours of operation resume Jan. 4.
The TransHelp office will be closed Dec. 25 to Jan. 1, reopening Jan. 4. Holiday service hours are as follows: Dec. 24 — full service from 6 a.m. to 1 a.m.; Dec. 25 — taxi service only; Dec. 26 to Dec. 30 — full service from 6 a.m. to 1 a.m.; Dec. 31 — full service from 6 a.m. to 3 a.m. (ride free from 7 p.m. to 3 a.m.); Jan. 1 — taxi service only; and Jan. 2 — full service from 6 a.m. to 1 a.m.
Registered clients may continue to book trips as usual from Dec. 28 to 31 by calling the Customer Contact Centre at 905-791-1015 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The Peel Art Gallery, Museum and Archives (PAMA) will be closing early Dec. 24 at 2 p.m. and Dec. 31 at 4 p.m. It will be closed Dec. 25, 26 and Jan. 1. Visit pama.peelregion.ca for information on programming, exhibitions and PAMA’s holiday admission prices.
